Job summary

The Neurology Center is seeking a Front Desk/Medical Assistant Float to support patients while traveling between the La Jolla and Poway offices. You will work with Physicians and Advanced Practitioners to ensure patient care needs are met and understand the full front desk flow.

This entry-level role does not require MA certification and offers benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, plus paid time off. Prior MA experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Room patients, take vitals and obtain basic medical history.
• Return messages from patients and assist providers during clinic.
• Check-in/out patients and collect co-pays; schedule appointments.
• Knowledge of health insurances and travel between offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take vital signs during visits.
• Obtain past medical histories and update records.
• Assist physicians and physicians assistants in clinic workflow.
• Manage front desk duties including scheduling and billing tasks.
• Travel between La Jolla and Poway offices for coverage.

Description

The Neurology Center is looking for a Front Desk/Medical Assistant Float to join our practice- traveling between the La Jolla and Poway offices. The Front Desk/Medical Assistant Float will work alongside our Physicians and Advanced Practitioners to assist our patients and ensure their care needs are being met in addition to understanding the full flow of the Front Desk. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Ability to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Customer service skills
• Team player attitude
• Willingness to learn

This position is an entry level position and a MA certification is NOT required.

Preferred experience:

• 1-2 years prior Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
• EPIC EMR experience (preferred)
• Prior Neurology experience (preferred)
