Job summary

Physician Partners of America in California seeks a Medical Assistant to greet patients, perform check in/out, and escort patients to exam rooms. You will prep patients, collect vital signs and histories, and assist physicians during examinations.

Under supervision, you will verify insurance, manage records, schedule appointments, and handle routine labs. Travel between regional clinics may be required; BLS and MA experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification is required.
• 1+ year Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• One year pain management experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel between clinics within region.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check in/out, verify insurance for walk-ins.
• Maintain patient accounts, schedule appointments, data entry.
• Take histories and vital signs; prepare patients for exams.
• Assist physicians and mid-level providers during exams.
• Perform basic lab tests and collect specimens as directed.
• Enter data into EMR and coordinate referrals/admissions.
