Qualifications

• Completion of accredited medical assistant program or two years of medical office experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and front/back office procedures.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to rooms; take vital signs and document results.
• Assist provider with examinations and prepare necessary room setup.
• Perform point-of-care testing and document results in EMR.
• Manage clerical tasks: appointment scheduling, registrations, and insurance verification.
• Maintain stock of supplies and ensure refrigerator logs are up to date.
• Travel to IHPS offices as needed.
