Indiana Healthcare Physician Serv – Indiana PA location seeks a Medical Assistant for the IRMC Physician Group Family Medicine Walk-In Clinic. You will support physicians with examinations, perform clerical and clinical tasks, and help maintain a smooth daily workflow in a busy on-site clinic.

The role requires completing an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent multi-tasking experience, with CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

Completion of accredited medical assistant program or a multi-tasked professional with at least two years of experience, CPR certification.
Knowledge of basic medical front and back office procedures and medical terminology.
Experience with electronic medical records and patient data handling.

Responsabilités

Greet patients and escort to examination rooms and document flow.
Take vital signs and transcribe results to patient chart; update history and immunizations.
Prepare exam rooms, assist with examinations and procedures, and ensure consent forms are complete.
Perform point-of-care lab tests and report results accurately in EMR.
Maintain supplies and equipment, manage inventory and refrigerator temperatures.
Handle front desk duties: registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and payments.
