Job summary

Prima Medical Foundation dba MarinHealth Medical Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support front/back swing operations. You will room patients, obtain vitals, document symptoms, and assist with procedures under clinical supervision.

Responsibilities include injections, immunizations, and coordination of care with the physician. Proficient EMR documentation (Allscripts preferred) and strong communication with patients are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA is required. BLS Certification required.
At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician's office or other clinical setting.
Re-processing/procedural experience is highly preferred.
Allscripts EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting symptoms, and assisting with visits.
Provide injections, immunizations and other patient care services as ordered by the medical provider.
Assist with procedures and re-processing instruments.
Schedule appointments, take messages, and greet/check in patients; manage referrals and insurance verifications; document in EMR.
