Position Details:

• Type: Per Diem/Part-time, Direct Hire
• Pay: $21 - $22/hour
• Hours: Per Diem

Primary Responsibilities:

Front Office

• Greeting patients, managing intake forms, scheduling appointments.
• Handling patient registration, insurance verification, eligibility, fee communication, and payments.
• Updating patient records in electronic health systems.

Back Office

• Measuring vital signs, recording medical history, and noting chief complaints.
• Preparing patients for exams and conducting routine screenings.
• Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Administering medications, injections, and blood draws as authorized.
• Maintaining supplies, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring a clean environment.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (MA certificate not required for front desk roles).
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes preferred.
• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Proficiency in medical terminology, medications, and injections.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and patient empathy.
• Understanding of HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
• Availability for multiple locations including Inland Empire, Long Beach, Orange County, Torrance.
