Job Description

Under the provider's supervision, assists in patient examinations, treatments, and healthcare planning. Supports office operations and follows established protocols, policies, and workflows.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate patient care with the healthcare team.
  2. Prepare patients and rooms, obtain vital signs, document patient information, and assist with screenings and procedures.
  3. Assist providers during examinations and procedures, and serve as a scribe if trained.
  4. Follow up with patients, notify test results, and ensure treatment areas are stocked and sterilized.
  5. Perform lab controls, administer medications, and document accurately in the EHR.
  6. Perform clerical duties and may float between locations.
Qualifications

Minimum: High School/GED, completion of a Medical Assistant Program or 1 year of relevant experience, CPR certification, and background clearances.

Certification: Must obtain a recognized Medical Assistant Certification within 120 days if not already certified.

Preferred:

Associate's Degree.
