Takes brief histories, checks vital signs and reviews Phreesia pre- visit for accuracy, and compiles patient’s list of medications.Assists with Iovera, injections, aspirations, and ultrasound.Administers and documents routine immunizationsPrepares patients by ordering X-rays or other procedures if it has been determined by the physicians’ notes that patient will need these done.Gives injections, performs phlebotomy, fits patients with orthopedic appliances, splints, and dressings.Follows protocols in the care and maintenance of medical equipment in office.Prepares exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.Schedules patients for outside testing.Gets pre-authorization for MRIs and other patient outside diagnostics tests as required.Returns calls to patients per Physician request.Follows medication refill protocols when checking RX request voicemailExample of Duties cont:Acts as the liaison between triage, call center and the physicians they work with.Instructs patients to give themselves injections.Instructs patients the proper and safe way to do certain exercises.
