Providence Health & Services is seeking a Medical Assistant – Float in the Southern LA County area. The MA II will float among clinics to provide patient care under a licensed practitioner, performing MA I duties and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
The role requires hands-on clinical training, MA apprenticeship completion, and at least 6 months of healthcare and MA experience. BLS certification within 30 days is required.
Supports and floats throughout affiliated clinics in the Southern LA County vicinity such as Santa Monica, Ladera Heights, Hawthorne, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, San Pedro, and Carson.
The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
