Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical procedures under supervision across departments in the Los Angeles area. The role may require occasional travel and referral processing for HMO and PPO plans, with careful recordkeeping in the EHR system.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and completed an accredited Medical Assistant program, with strong communication skills and basic cash handling ability. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Must possess valid California Driver’s License if in Float Pool.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures under supervision and guidance.
• Float between departments as needed and travel occasionally.
• Process outside referrals (HMO/PPO) and notify relevant parties.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EHR.
