Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient-supporting clinical tasks under supervision in a fast-paced healthcare setting in Los Angeles. You will assist with examinations, prepare rooms, handle referrals, and maintain accurate medical records while coordinating with departments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, completes an accredited Medical Assistant program, and holds current BLS certification; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or above.
• Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient-specific clinical tasks under supervision.
• Float between departments as needed and travel between facilities.
• Process outside referrals including HMO and PPO with accurate records.
• Notify all concerned parties of referral outcomes as required.
• Maintain knowledge of infection control and patient safety measures.
