St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Erlanger, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Float Pool, 40 hours per week. You will support physicians and mid-level providers, perform vital signs, obtain patient information, and assist with exams and procedures in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The role emphasizes patient education, chart documentation, and adherence to OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA standards. Eligibility includes completion of an MA program or related credential with hands-on clinical experience.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One of the following: 1 year MA, CNA, PCA, STNA, or SEH Clinical Care Tech experience.
• Completion of MA program with hands-on externship.
• Completion of SEP Internship.
• Completion of EMT certification.
• Degree in Health or Biological Sciences including hands-on clinical care activities such as Athletic Trainer.

Responsabilidades

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs.
• Document patient history in the chart and provide clear directions.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during examinations.
• Perform nursing procedures under provider supervision and administer medications as directed.
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Ensure chart accuracy and complete forms for revenue cycle.
• Maintain supplies and sanitize exam rooms; report equipment issues.
• Triage and process patient messages with the front office and providers.
