**As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will support our clinical team by:**

  1. Providing Patient Care: Assisting providers in gathering relevant information during patient visits.
  2. Effective Communication: Clearly communicating with patients via phone and in-person.
  3. Team Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality patient care. Attention to detail and follow-through are essential.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (certification must be provided upon hire)
  • Or at least one year of Medical Assistant experience (verified upon hire)
  • Or current RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers, obtained prior to start date
  • Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry
  • Professional manner with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers to deliver high-quality care
  • Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality, including Protected Health Information (PHI)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience in outpatient clinics or healthcare settings
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and relevant software
  • Current national MA certification (e.g., RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMA)

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Visual acuity for reading labels, assessing patients, and operating monitors
  • Verbal communication skills for interacting with patients and staff, especially during emergencies
  • Manual dexterity for handling equipment and documentation
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients, including heavy items
  • Ability to walk, stand, and navigate busy environments

The hourly rate ranges from $19.97 to $29.74, depending on experience.
