Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to screen patients, gather pertinent information, and assist physicians or advanced practitioners during patient visits in accordance with age-specific needs. The role includes supporting patient care, maintaining clean exam rooms, and providing general clinic support as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience required.
  • Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or hospital setting that provides patient care.
  • Experience in medical office, insurance, referral and prior authorization, hospital or computer experience is desirable.
  • CMA or RMA preferred.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
  • CMA or RMA preferred.
Compensation/Benefits
  • $15.46-$25.24/hr depending on previous work experience.
