Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant in Indianapolis to support patient flow in a busy clinic. You will register patients, verify insurance, room patients, and document vitals.

Responsibilities include point-of-care testing, assisting providers, handling co-pays, maintaining exam rooms, and managing records. A minimum of MA certification and BLS are required at hire; high school diploma required; MA program graduate preferred; 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification is REQUIRED at time of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program (preferred).
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience within the last 3 years (preferred).

• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms and front desk areas
• Manage medical records, documentation, and patient communications
• Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
• Support daily clinic operations including opening/closing duties

Education

Medical Assistant certification

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program (preferred)

Requirements

• Accepted certifications include: CCMA – Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA), CMA – Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or CHP), RMA – Registered Medical Assistant (AMT, AAH, or ARMA), NCMA – National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT), NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) – required at hire
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program (preferred)
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience within the last 3 years (preferred)
