Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis seeks a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in a clinic setting under the direction of a provider. You will assist during visits, collect vitals, perform basic procedures, and maintain exam rooms with infection control standards.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years MA experience preferred; Heartsaver and NCCT certifications, with other credentials desirable.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Technical degree or diploma in Medical Assistant; 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Must have certifications: Heartsaver, NCCT Medical Assistant; Nationally Certified Medical Assistant and other listed credentials preferred.

Responsabilités

• Proactively assists patients throughout the visit and accompanies them to the exam/procedure room.
• Responds to patient needs in a professional and friendly manner.
• Performs clerical activities related to patient care such as scheduling appointments, lab callbacks, prior authorizations, medical history retrieval, and patient paperwork.
• Collects and records patient data including vital signs and basic information.
• Maintains infection control and prepares exam/procedure rooms between visits.
• Administers medications and immunizations under physician supervision; may authorize prescription refills.
