Job summary

Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to provide frontline clinical and administrative support under physician supervision. You will assist with exams, procedures, injections, venipuncture, and patient triage while ensuring compassionate care.

Responsibilities include documenting patient care, coordinating with care partners for treatment and return-to-work plans, maintaining clean exam rooms, managing supplies, and supporting safety and quality

Qualifications

• Must be a certified or registered MA within 90 days.

The Medical Assistant is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization.Essential FunctionsProvide patient care as appropriate within your scope of practice by assessing and triaging patients, assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications and injections, executing venipunctures and responding to emergencies.Perform diagnostic testing and specimen collection.Maintain accurate documentation by recording patient care and communications as well as managing records, prescriptions, and authorizations.Coordinate patient care by communicating with appropriate care partners to support treatment, scheduling, and return-to-work planning.Maintain exam rooms and equipment, manage supplies, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to staff training and quality improvement.Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request.
