Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation in California is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support patient flow and clinical operations in a fast-paced setting. You will prepare comprehensive patient charts, ensure accurate medical records, and assist multiple patients daily to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have completed an accredited MA program, hold a current BLS certification, and be familiar with CPT/ICD-10 coding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program required.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and pharmacology appropriate to MA scope.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and measure vital signs.
• Maintain sterile, organized clinical environment.
• Manage EMR input and chart documentation.
• Communicate patient concerns to physicians/AP providers.
• Coordinate with pharmacies and insurance for authorizations.
