Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation in California seeks a Medical Assistant (MA) to support patients and the healthcare team, improving clinic flow and patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The MA will prepare patient charts, assist with examinations, administer medications, take vitals, maintain a clean clinical environment, and document in EMR, collaborating with physicians and other care providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication with patients and team; customer service oriented.
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 and clinical pharmacology as per MA scope.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and measure vital signs.
• Maintain a sterile, organized clinical environment.
• Manage medical records and input into EMR.
• Communicate patient concerns to physicians and providers.
• Coordinate with pharmacies and insurers for medication authorizations.
