Job summary

New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Medical Assistant - Float to support multiple NYH locations within New York. This role covers patient intake, specimen collection, vital signs, and assisting providers with examinations and procedures.

Starting pay is $24 per hour with benefits; EMR proficiency is preferred and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. A Medical Assistant Certificate and HS diploma are required, with travel to NYH locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma are required.
• Proficiency with an EMR system is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes and accurately record information.
• Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and tests.
• Record vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Sterilize equipment and assist during office procedures.
• Assist physicians and staff with data entry and patient care.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care tests.
