Job summary

FASCO (Foot and Ankle Specialists of Central Ohio) is seeking a Medical Assistant FLOAT to support physicians across multiple central Ohio locations. You will collect medical history, handle EMR entries, and ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, triaging, scheduling, and maintaining exam rooms, with training provided for GXMO/X-ray duties as needed. A professional, communicative, and team-oriented candidate is preferred.

Qualifications

• HIPAA and OSHA compliance knowledge; training available if needed.
• Medical office experience preferred but not required.
• Professional and courteous demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with a team or independently.
• Knowledgeable with computers.
• Willingness to obtain GXMO license to take X-rays with assistance.

Location: Gahanna, Lancaster, Pickerington, Newark, Reynoldsburg, Westerville, Ohio

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant will support physicians and other members of the health care team by gathering patient medical history and other vital medical information into our EMR system. They will make sure to use customer service skills and display professionalism to treat our patients with the utmost quality of care.

Job Function and Duties

• Greet patients promptly and courteously
• Perform duties under the supervision and direction of the physician
• Provide patient instruction as directed by the physician
• Triage patients as needed
• Complete patient paperwork and enter information into the EMR at the time of encounter
• Update medical records
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, clean and stock exam rooms
• Create/Transfer orders
• Other tasks assigned to you from management

Required Skills & Abilities

• HIPAA and OSHA knowledge and Compliance preferred (will train if not knowledgeable)
• Medical office experience preferred but not required (on-site training available)

Schedule and Related Information

• Work schedule is Monday through Friday no Weekends
• Travel is mandatory as this position is one that assist in any location we need extra support
