Job summary

Pacesetter Health is seeking a Medical Assistant FLOAT to support physicians across multiple Ohio locations. The role emphasizes patient care, accurate EMR data entry, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment.

You will greet patients, assist with procedures, triage when needed, and help maintain organized records. Training in GXMO licensing is available, and travel to various sites is required.

Qualifications

• HIPAA and OSHA knowledge or willingness to be trained.
• Medical office experience preferred but not required; on-site training available.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team or independently.
• Proficient with computers and EMR systems.
• Willingness to obtain GXMO license to take X-rays; company will assist.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and courteously.
• Assist physicians and healthcare team with procedures.
• Enter patient history and encounters into EMR accurately.
• Triage patients and provide patient instruction as directed.
• Schedule appointments and manage phone calls.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and update records.
• Create/transfer orders as needed and support management.

Medical Assistant FLOAT

FASCO (Foot and Ankle Specialists of Central Ohio)

Location: Gahanna, Lancaster, Pickerington, Newark, Reynoldsburg, Westerville, Ohio

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant will support physicians and other members of the health care team by gathering patient medical history and other vital medical information into our EMR system. They will make sure to use customer service skills and display professionalism to treat our patients with the utmost quality of care.

Job Function and Duties

• Greet patients promptly and courteously
• Perform duties under the supervision and direction of the physician
• Provide patient instruction as directed by the physician
• Triage patients as needed
• Complete patient paperwork and enter information into the EMR at the time of encounter
• Update medical records
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, clean and stock exam rooms
• Create/Transfer orders
• Other tasks assigned to you from management

Required Skills & Abilities

• HIPAA and OSHA knowledge and Compliance preferred (will train if not knowledgeable)
• Medical office experience preferred but not required (on-site training available)
• Must be professional and courteous
• Excellent communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work with a team or independently
• Must be knowledgeable with computers
• Must be willing to get your GXMO license to take X-rays (we will help you to obtain license) if you do not already have it

Schedule and Related Information

• Work schedule is Monday through Friday no Weekends
• Travel is mandatory as this position is one that assist in any location we need extra support
