Job summary

Mendocino Community Health Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in a community-focused clinic in California. You will conduct patient rooming, assist with exams, administer vaccines, document in the EHR, and help maintain clean clinical areas.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• CMA certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred.
• At least one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients for vitals, assessments, screenings, and medical histories.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within the MA scope of practice.
• Administer medications and vaccines per provider orders.
• Document accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Maintain clinical areas, ensure proper stocking, and adhere to infection control standards.
• Provide patient education on diagnoses, follow-up care, and treatment plans as directed.
