Job summary

Clinical Associates, P.A. is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our Department of Specialty Medicine. The role requires travel to multiple Maryland locations including Reisterstown, Pikesville/Woodholme, Towson, and site visits to Oakcrest and Edenwald Senior Living Centers.

The successful candidate will work both front and back office in a multi-specialty setting, with opportunities for growth and hands-on responsibilities for patients in a clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA certification preferred.
• EMR experience, NextGen a plus.
• Experience in Cardiology or Internal Medicine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Triaging calls, rooming patients, and assisting during office visits.
• Performing EKGs and recording vital signs.
• Obtaining authorizations and tracking test results.
• Scheduling appointments, procedures, or imaging; front desk coverage as needed.
• Entering lab/diagnostic orders and assisting with CGM devices.

At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-house specialists in areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry. We also offer unique services like our ambulatory surgery center and nuclear stress testing facility.

Our physicians, specialists and credentialed health care providers are assisted by 175 trained support staff. We do our best to take care of everything for our patients – records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site.

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our Department of Specialty Medicine!

Candidate must be willing to travel (float) to all of our locations:

• Reisterstown - 120 Westminster Pike
• Pikesville / Woodholme - 1838 Greene Tree Road
• Towson - 515 Fairmount Avenue
• Includes travel to Oakcrest Senior Living Community
• Includes travel to Edenwald Senior Living Center

Schedule Varies: Monday - Friday Earliest 7:30 am / latest 5:00 pm

This position requires the ability to work both front and back office.

Experience in Cardiology, is a plus, but we will consider Internal Medicine / Primary Care experience.

The Medical Assistant will work closely with one of our healthcare providers in a multi-specialty setting. Full Time candidates with proven EHR experience will have hands-on responsibilities with patients in a healthcare setting that offers enrichment and an opportunity for growth.

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing a positive, supportive, nurturing, yet professional experience whether triaging calls, rooming patients and assisting during an office visit, or providing follow-up to patients and/or families.

The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of services up to and including:

• Assistance during routine exams
• Performing EKGs
• Recording a patient history and logging vital signs.
• Obtaining and tracking authorizations and test results
• Entering lab / diagnostic test orders
• Assisting patients with CGM devices
• Scheduling appointments, procedures, or imaging
• Front desk check in or call center coverage as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Current registration/certification with an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• EMR Experience (Nextgen is a plus)!
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
• Experience in Cardiology or Internal Medicine / Primary Care is preferred.

Candidates selected for an interview will be required to take a medical skill assessment
