RAYUS Radiology in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. You will support physicians and technologists, perform patient intake, vitals, and manage scheduling and records across the clinic.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, with travel to multiple metro sites as needed. DailyPay is available after initial setup, and the work supports delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
• Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA) in good standing
• CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
• 1 year experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to the exam room
• Take and record patient vitals and temperature
• Assist technologist or PA in the room as needed
• Enter patient information and provider orders into RIS; locate records; schedule follow-ups
• Communicate with Supervisor regarding medications and contraindications
• Assist with procedures and maintain sterile field; sterilize instruments
• Administer oral and injectable medications and assist with oral sedation
• Monitor patient flow; manage add-on and follow-up appointments
• Discharge patients with information and documentation
• Coordinate prescriptions via phone/fax to pharmacies
• Document prep calls in RISLogic or aRies
• Assemble next day’s paperwork
• Handle incoming patient inquiries and scheduling
• Assist with prior authorizations
• Maintain department supplies and cleanliness
• Provide daily updates to Supervisor on schedule and tasks

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the physician assistant and/or technologist with the daily functions of the Clinic and provide general administrative support to the department. This is a fulltime position working Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm (8-hour shifts) at our Blaine, Plymouth and Edina centers; traveling to other locations throughout the metro as needed (Burnsville, Shakopee, St Louis Park, and Woodbury).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet patients and escort them to the exam room
• Take and record patient vitals and temperature
• Assist technologist or physician assistant (PA) in the room as needed
• Enter patients’ past medical information and provider orders into RIS, locate previous medical records, and schedule patient appointments for the follow-up clinic
• Communicate directly with Supervisor regarding patient medications and possible contra-indications
• Assist with procedures, including preparing and maintaining sterile field, as well as sterilize instruments following procedures
• Administer oral and injectable medications and assist with oral sedation

(45%) Administrative Support

• Monitor the clinic’s patient schedule, assist with managing add‑on appointments and follow up appointments
• Facilitate the patient flow, with direction from Supervisor
• Discharge the patients from the clinic with appropriate information and documentation
• Call or fax patient prescriptions to the pharmacy
• Place follow‑up phone calls to patients prescribed pain management medications or narcotics to check if additional treatment and/or a follow‑up appointment is required
• Document all patient prep calls in RISLogic or aRies systems
• Assemble next day’s H&P paperwork at assigned location on a daily basis
• Manage all incoming phone calls from patients regarding past procedures or treatments, with guidance from the Supervisor
• Assist with prior authorizations
• Coordinate patient flow, with scheduling and front office, to fit in schedule add‑ons
• Maintain office supplies within department and stockroom
• Assist with cleaning exam rooms
• Provide daily updates to the Supervisor regarding individual work schedule and completion of the day’s tasks, etc.

Requirements

Required:

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant education program
• Certification as a Medical Assistant, current and in good standing
• Certification as a Phlebotomist in the appropriate state, if applicable (i.e. California, Louisiana, Nevada, Washington, etc.)
• Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• One (1) year experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Travel is required between sites; a reliable means of transportation is required
• Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance is required for the team member to personally drive a vehicle for company business (regardless of whether it’s a company or personal vehicle)

Preferred:

• One (1) year of Medical Assistant work experience
• Healthcare experience in radiologic procedures and medications
