Medical Assistant Float

Pay Range: $19.00 - $24.25 per hour

Bonus Program: Earn up to $600.00 monthly bonus based on center metrics and patient satisfaction.

In partnership with Novant Health, GoHealth Urgent Care operates centers across North Carolina, focusing on providing excellent patient care and seamless service.

Responsibilities include:

• Registering patients, verifying insurance, and processing co-pays.
• Scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals.
• Answering inquiries and updating patients on care status.
• Assisting with patient intake, recording vital signs, and managing medical records.
• Performing point-of-care testing, drawing blood, and preparing specimens.
• Maintaining exam rooms and managing supplies.
• Handling administrative tasks such as answering phones, mailing, and opening/closing duties.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire; additional medical certifications (CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA) or relevant nursing credentials accepted.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
