Job summary

River Valley Physicians is seeking a friendly Medical Assistant for a Per Diem position at East Liverpool City Hospital. You will assist physicians with patient care, handle clerical duties, manage charts, and ensure a welcoming patient experience.

This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant certification, current BLS, and at least one year of public-facing healthcare experience; prior healthcare exposure is preferred. Shifts are Days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant (MA) Certification or higher preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of public-facing work experience, healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and clerical tasks.
• Handle appointment scheduling and chart management.
• Provide information to patients to help them utilize clinic services.
• Convey a positive image of the organization.

Qualifications

• 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• 2. Medical Assistant (MA) Certification or Higher-Level Certification/Licensure preferred.
• 3. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• 4. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
• 5. Work experience in health care preferred.
