Job summary

River Valley Physicians, affiliated with East Liverpool City Hospital, seeks a Medical Assistant for Per Diem coverage in a Day shift. You will support physicians with patient care and handle clerical tasks in a collaborative clinic environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, MA certification preferred, and a current BLS certificate. Experience in health care or public contact is valued; join a community-focused team dedicated to quality and compassion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or with relevant experience.
• MA Certification or higher licensure preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintained.
• At least one year of experience in a public-facing role; healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and clerical tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them utilize clinic services.
• Uphold a professional, positive image of the organization.

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and/or organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.


• Medical Assistant (MA) Certification or Higher-Level Certification/Licensure preferred.


• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current


• Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.


• Work experience in health care preferred.
