WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Sign on Bonus Available (Ask your Talent Acquisition Advisor if eligible for Sign-On Bonus)
• Monday through Friday. Shift can start as early as 6:45am and can end as late as 7pm.
• Need to travel to Michigan City, Chesterton, and LaPorte

• Provide a more personal approach to direct patient care in a variety of outpatient settings, which may include: rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining a comprehensive medical history, documenting care of patient via electronic medical record, administering vaccines, injections, and medications, phlebotomy, point of care testing and medication reconciliation under the supervision of RN/Provider.
• Gather requirements from internal and external customers and provide information via phone, electronic messaging and in person.
• Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and process sample medications, prescriptions, and refills as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma/GED - Required
• Certificate or Associates Degree in Medical Assisting- Required
• 5 years of experience in lieu of Medical Assisting certificate
• 1-year Medical Assisting- Preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA; RMA; NCMA; CCMA) - Required within 6 months of hire
