Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced clinical team. You will prepare patients, triage, document histories, collect specimens, and assist with procedures in a supportive environment.

The role requires 1+ year of MA/AEMT experience, EMR proficiency (EPIC preferred), and ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating holidays and travel between locations. Excellent patient care and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year of experience as Medical Assistant or AEMT (urgent care or ER a plus).
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Perform triage and take vital signs.
• Document patient history in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine laboratory specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and injections (IM, Subcutaneous, Intradermal).
• Start IVs and place catheters as needed.
• Support occupational medicine services and drug screening.
• Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance and assist with admin tasks.
• Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required.
