Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant, AEMT, or Paramedic to join our fast-paced clinical team. You will assist with patient prep, triage, documentation, specimen collection and injections, while supporting occupational medicine services and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year of healthcare experience (urgent care or ER a plus); training available for new grads.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Perform triage and take vital signs.
• Document patient history in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine lab specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and injections (IM, SC, ID).
• Initiate IVs, place catheters, and assist with splinting.
• Perform basic clinical, aseptic and lab procedures to support patient care.
• Support Occupational Medicine services (drug screening, breath tests, audiograms, PFT).
• Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
• Handle administrative tasks and operate medical equipment.
• Support staffing across Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed.
