Job summary

SSS Family Medicine PC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient visits by preparing charts and equipment, assisting nurses, and coordinating lab work. You will help manage inventory, set up machines, and clean instruments to maintain a safe clinical environment.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in clinical settings, and prior office experience. This role emphasizes teamwork with physicians, nurses, and other staff.

Qualifications

• BLS or CMA certification desired.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• High attention to detail essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits by reviewing charts and setting up equipment.
• Clean and reset instruments and equipment after use.
• Answer calls and triage patient questions, guiding visit needs.
• Assist NP, PA, and physician with basic medical care and procedures.
• Track and follow up on lab results.
• Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for processing.
• Transmit laboratory work to external labs.
• Conduct in-house tests (rapid strep, flu, dipstick urinalysis, pregnancy).
• Perform EKGs and assist with diagnostic workflows.
• Record patient vitals and coordinate with radiology/labs.
