Job summary

Community Health Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for provider visits, assist with quality patient care, and perform routine clinical duties including lab work and immunizations. You will support coordination of care, schedule appointments, and assist clinicians with exams in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include taking patient history, monitoring schedules, documenting communications, and contributing to team-based care in multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School or vocational diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant course with valid Medical Assistant diploma, or documented proof of on the job training in a doctor’s office will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interaction with provider and assist with coordination of care.
• Participate in team meetings to communicate and address patient care and operational requirements.
• Administer immunizations and medications as ordered while ensuring safe medication administration.
• Assist patient and clinician in exam areas and manage administrative paperwork.
