Job summary

A leading urgent care provider in Durham, North Carolina, is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide general medical care in an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include obtaining patient vital signs, administering medications, and performing laboratory tests. The ideal candidate should have an Associate's degree and preferably AMT registration or AAMA certification. This position focuses on delivering patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment, emphasizing timely and efficient services.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
• AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals and medical history for exam preparation.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Draw blood and prepare labs for processing.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain equipment.
