Qualifications
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.
Responsibilities
Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and prepare the patient for a physical exam.
Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and timely.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Draw blood and prepare labs for processing.
Perform laboratory tests and equipment maintenance.
Respond to lab messages and call back requests.
Conduct physician referrals and service pre-certifications.
Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
Maintain complete documentation.
