Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program recommended.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room, escorts patients, and maintains room cleanliness.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and accurate patient visit prep.
• Documents vital signs and updates in the EHR; manages patient information.
• Assists in scheduling, referrals, and prescriptions within PMS/EHR.
• Provides scribing services and supports care transitions as needed.
• Adheres to safety, supplies management, and policy guidelines.
