Job summary

SolutionHealth is hiring a Medical Assistant to participate in nursing care under the supervision of Registered Nurses, Providers, and Practice Manager in the Nashua area. The role includes in-person, telehealth, and phone screening duties, with responsibilities spanning administering medications, immunizations, specimen handling, and documenting care in the medical record.

Flexible day shift hours with no weekends and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience of 3 years as an MA.
• Current BLS/CPR training required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the care of patients in person, via telephone (phone screening) and telehealth modalities under supervision of the Provider(s).
• Performs functions delegated by Provider(s) and RNs, including administering medications, treatments and immunizations, point-of-care testing, and collection/handling of specimens.
• Collects and screens history and health-related information from patients and communicates findings to Providers.
• Communicates Provider advice/instructions and plan of care to patients.
• Documents care activities in the medical record with accuracy and detail.
