Piedmont Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our busy clinical team. You will support patient care, prepare for examinations, perform triage, and document histories in EPIC EMR, contributing to a high-energy, compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus).
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
• Experience using EMR software (EPIC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Perform triage and take vital signs.
• Document patient history in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine lab specimens including blood, urine, and swabs.
• Administer medications and non-intravenous injections.
• Start IVs, place catheters, and assist with splinting as needed.
• Support occupational medicine services and regulatory compliance.
• Perform administrative duties and operate office medical equipment.
