Job summary
Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support patient flow, perform triage, take vitals, and document histories in our EMR system. The ideal candidate will administer injections, collect samples, and assist with occupational medicine services within a fast-paced clinic.
The position requires a Medical Assistant program completion or CMA/RMA certification, plus at least two years of urgent care or ER/hospital experience, and a willingness to travel between
Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Current CMA or RMA certification.
- Minimum 2 years of urgent care or ER/hospital MA experience.
Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation for examinations and treatments.
- Triage and vital signs.
- Document patient history in EMR.
- Collect routine lab specimens.
- Administer medications and injections.
- Perform splinting, sutures, and staple removal; ear/eye wash.
- Perform basic clinical and laboratory procedures.
- Assist with Occupational Medicine services and tests.
- Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
- Handle administrative tasks and operate medical equipment.
- Oversee quality assurance and CLIA compliance.
- Travel to Beaumont Urgent Care locations as required.
