Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced clinic. You will support patient care, manage triage and vital signs, document histories in our EMR, and assist with routine lab work and injections.

Formación

• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred; training available for new grads.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
• Experience with EMR software, EPIC preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Patient Preparation: Assist with preparing patients for examinations and treatments.
• Triage & Vital Signs: Perform triage and take vital signs accurately.
• Documenting Patient History: Record history in EMR timely.
• Lab Specimens: Collect routine specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Medication & Injections: Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Clinical Procedures: Start IVs, place catheters and splints as needed.
• Administrative Duties: Perform office tasks and operate medical equipment.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA.
