Piedmont Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced clinical team in Georgia. You will assist with patient preparation, triage, history documentation in EPIC, specimen collection, injections, IV starts, and routine procedures.

We offer a 3-day/12-hour full-time schedule (7 AM–7 PM) with no overnight shifts, competitive benefits, PTO/holidays, 401K match, and opportunities for professional growth and certification reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus).
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
• Experience using EMR software, EPIC preferred.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Perform triage and take vital signs.
• Document patient history in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine lab specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and non-intravenous injections (IM, SC, ID).
• Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting as needed.
• Conduct basic clinical, aseptic, and lab procedures.
• Support Occupational Medicine services and drug screening.
• Enforce HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Perform administrative duties and operate medical equipment.
• Oversee quality assurance and CLIA waived laboratory requirements.
• Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed.
