Piedmont Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on high-quality service and team collaboration.

You will assist with exams, triage, EMR documentation, lab specimen collection, injections, and clinical procedures while adhering to regulatory requirements. Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus).
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and information.
• Perform triage and take accurate vital signs.
• Document detailed patient history in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine laboratory specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and non-intravenous injections (IM, subcutaneous, intradermal).
• Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting when necessary.
• Support Occupational Medicine services, including drug screening and audiograms, per protocols.
• Enforce HIPAA and OSHA compliance; maintain regulatory standards.
• Perform general administrative tasks and operate office medical equipment.
• Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required.
