Job summary

Qualifications

Must have a Medical Assistant diploma, certification, or graduate transcript.
NextGen EHR experience and prior work in interventional pain medicine is a plus.
Excellent people and telephone skills, familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Knowledge of HMOs, PPOs, and various insurance plans.
Excellent typing and math skills, ten-key by touch, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
NextGen EPM/EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet patients, enter new patient information, and check patients in and out.
Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments.
Answer telephones and schedule appointments on the computer.
Assist with procedures and stock rooms.
Room patients and schedule procedures; perform lab work and EHR charting as needed.
