The Portland Clinic in Beaverton, OR is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support licensed practitioners in patient treatment and care. The role involves rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate EHR documentation.

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, in a Nursing Services department, with a $1,000 hiring bonus after 90 days. CPR certification and MA credential are required.

Qualificações

• Current Medical Assistant Certification or must fulfill requirements within 90 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current American Heart Association CPR Certification

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients for exam or treatment and document vital signs in the EHR.
• Prioritize patient concerns and coordinate with clinicians for follow up.
• Assist LIP with in-office procedures and exams, including EKGs, vaccinations, and wound care.
• Maintain clean exam and procedure rooms per OSHA guidelines and HIPAA rules.
• Manage desk tasks: scheduling, messages, prescriptions, and authorizations.
• Prepare instruments for autoclaving and follow PPE guidelines.
• Support team in a patient-centered medical home and mentor staff as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments and attend nursing meetings regularly.
