Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join an office team under supervision of licensed practitioners. The MA-C will handle patient flow, take vital signs, assist with exams, collect specimens, and administer medications per Washington state regulations.

Requirements include WA MA-C certification, at least one year of healthcare experience preferred, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• MA-Certified with WA state licensure.
• Minimum of one year healthcare experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Organizing patient flow with front office staff.
• Interviewing patients.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Performing specimen collection (venipuncture).
• Administering medications per WA DoH regulations and competency.
• Relaying instructions to patients and families.
• Support clerical tasks: sending/receiving records, referrals, forms.
