Job summary

Duly Health and Care seeks a Medical Assistant for our Family Practice in Aurora, IL. This full-time role supports physicians, performs patient intake, vital signs, and basic first aid, and may include immunizations and phlebotomy within 90 days of hire.

You will assist with prescriptions, lab testing, and chart updates, ensuring a warm, efficient patient experience. Travel to other local clinics may be required; compensation reflects base pay plus incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or health sciences coursework required.
• AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA certifications listed in the requirements.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain on hire.
• Phlebotomy certification due within 90 days of hire.
• 2 years of MA/CNA/EMT or equivalent office experience.
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vitals, and health history.
• Support physicians during examinations, minor procedures, dressing changes, and first aid.
• May assist with immunizations or injections as needed.
• Assist with prescription requests and pharmacy communications.
• Perform onsite lab testing (EKG, PFT, glucose, pregnancy tests).
• Maintain clean, welcoming exam rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service aligned with CARE values.
• Occasional travel to assist other local clinics.

Position Highlights

Medical Assistant - Family Practice - Aurora Full-Time, 40 hours per week Clinic Hours: Monday & Wednesday, 8:00AM-7:00PM; Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM; Rotating Saturday, 8:00AM-12:00PM Location: Aurora, IL Travel: As needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care
• Prior experience using an electronic medical record (e.g. Epic) preferred
• College graduates from a health sciences program interested in gaining patient care experience and in pursuing a career in healthcare are welcome to apply

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
