Duly Health and Care in Tinley Park, IL is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant - Family Practice to join our full-time team. The role includes greeting patients, assisting with registrations, taking vital signs, and collecting health histories while supporting physicians during examinations.

This position emphasizes patient care, accurate charting, and adherence to CARE values. Some travel to assist other clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher.
• Active MA certification through AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA.
• CPR certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire.
• Prior MA/ CMA/ CNA/ EMT experience or 2+ years in medical office.
• Experience with EMR (Epic) preferred.
• Healthcare college graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vitals, and health history.
• Support physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• May assist with immunizations or injections.
• Process prescriptions, responses to pharmacy calls, orders, and chart updates.
• Conduct onsite lab tests (EKG, PFTs, glucose, urine pregnancy).
• Keep examination rooms clean, welcoming, and ready for visits.
• Deliver excellent customer service in line with CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Position Highlights

Certified Medical Assistant - Family Practice - Tinley Park Full-Time, 40 hours per week Hours: Monday-Friday, hours vary; Saturday rotation Location: Tinley Park, IL Travel: As needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following: American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care
• Prior experience using an electronic medical record (e.g. Epic) preferred
• College graduates from a health sciences program interested in gaining patient care experience and in pursuing a career in healthcare are welcome to apply

Compensation

• The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
• Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
• Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
