Responsibilities

The medical assistant performs direct and indirect patient care tasks in an ambulatory setting under supervision. Participates as a team member, accepts delegation from RNs or physicians, and performs tasks aligned with patient care plans, policies, and principles of relationship-based care, within legal scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree program or hold an active Medical Assistant certification (CMA), RMA, or CCMA.
• Excellent communication skills, team experience, computer proficiency, and flexibility in working hours.

License or Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred.

Additional Details

• Nonexempt status.
• Full-time schedule, 80 hours per pay period, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, including weekends.
