Job summary

Providence Health Plan Group in Washington's express care setting is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant who will support physicians and advanced providers, assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests under supervision.   • Washington MA Certification required upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required upon hire
  • 6 months of healthcare experience
  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

Description

Certified Medical Assistant works closely with a team of staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care. MA duties include assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications, and performing tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. The MA is also responsible for front desk, patient registration, insurance billing and payment collection/cashiering in addition to their patient care responsibilities. Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities. Required qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or

  • Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or

  • Coursework/Training: Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.

  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

  • 6 months of Healthcare experience

  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $23.27 - $35.60
