Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants.
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or equivalent military medical training.
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant with skills in vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification required on hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required on hire.
  • At least 6 months healthcare experience.
  • At least 6 months medical assistant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests under supervision.
  • Support front desk tasks: patient registration, insurance billing and cashiering.

Certified Medical Assistant works closely with a team of staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care. MA duties include assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications, and performing tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. The MA is also responsible for front desk, patient registration, insurance billing and payment collection/cashiering in addition to their patient care responsibilities. Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities. Treats all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.

Required Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or
  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or
  • Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or
  • Coursework/Training: Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 6 months of Healthcare experience
  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
